Wedding Photographer Loch Lomond // Boturich Castle Wedding // Rachael & Clyde

When your guest list spans three continents, you need a location worth the journey. For Rachael and Clyde, that meant Boturich Castle on the banks of Loch Lomond - the kind of scenery Scotland is famous for the world over.

Family flew in from Canada and India for this late summer wedding. Rachael grew up in Scotland before moving to Canada, so this was her chance to share with Clyde and their loved ones some of Scotland’s best bits.

Boturich Castle sits in one of those spots that makes you understand why people travel halfway around the world to get married in Scotland. Rachael and Clyde exchanged vows outdoors, with Loch Lomond stretching out behind them and the hills rising beyond. As a wedding photographer, you couldn't ask for a better backdrop.

Late summer in Scotland means you take what you're given. The day brought that classic mix of moody clouds rolling through and then just when you need it sunshine breaking through. Honestly, I'll take dramatic Scottish light over a blank blue sky any day. It adds atmosphere and that sense of place that makes these photos feel unmistakably here.

Days like this remind me why I love this job. Beautiful moments against epic, breathtaking backdrops. Guests connecting across continents. The couple stealing quiet moments between all the celebrations. These are the photos that matter years from now - not the posed lineups, but the real stuff happening in between! Here’s how it went…
