Relaxed wedding photography in Glasgow and across Scotland

Almost every enquiry I get starts the same way. Some version of: we're not really photo people.

That’s good. Neither is nearly everyone I photograph. It has never once been a problem.

I'm David. I'm a wedding photographer based just outside Glasgow, and I've photographed hundreds of weddings across Scotland over the last ten years. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Ayrshire, Perthshire, Fife, the Borders, and a fair few places in between.

What that means on the day is that I'm not going to pose you for hours or take you away from your guests. But I'm not going to disappear either. I'll keep the family photos moving, I'll tell people where they need to be, and if something's running late I'll help sort it. Most of the day I'm in the background photographing what's actually happening. The rest of the time I'm just another pair of hands.

The pictures you'll end up loving most are the ones nobody planned.

Creative, authentic wedding photography you’ll want to relive over and over again.

What the day actually looks like.

I'll turn up in the morning and start photographing while everyone's still getting ready. I'll talk to your loved ones. I'll get to know your pals. By the time anything important happens, I'm just another person in the room, which is the whole point - people stop noticing the camera, and that's when the good stuff happens.

We'll do the family groups properly, and we'll do them quickly. Nobody has ever looked back fondly on forty-five minutes of standing about.

Then, at some point in the afternoon, both of you and me will go for a short walk. Not a photoshoot. A walk, and a blether. That's it.

The rest of the day, I'm somewhere in the background, watching for the bits you'll miss because you were busy enjoying them.
